Meet Paloma...

Welcome to our site!  Through this blog, we will share SV Paloma's adventures with you.  Paloma is a  32-foot, heavy displacement double ended wooden sailboat, well built and equipped to be a true blue water cruiser.  She was built in 1972 in Kent, UK, but has been registered with the US Coast Guard for many years.  She is a beauty;  her classic lines turn heads wherever she goes.  Paloma is currently berthed at the riverfront campus of Mid-Atlantic Christian University in Elizabeth City, NC, having been entrusted to Dan and Kathy Smith by Maritime Ministries, Inc. She is used in ministry, focusing on team-building, ministry training, and sharing Christ with other cruisers.  Pray for her work, her crew, and her students.  Join us as we explore the Atlantic coastline!
